A presentation and tasting of Georgian wine was held in Geneva (Swiss Confederation) with the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, as part of efforts to diversify export markets.
The event was attended by representatives of the HoReCa sector. Various types of Georgian wine were introduced to guests by the Deputy Chair of the National Wine Agency, Tamta Kvelaidze, and the Chair of the State Tasting Commission, Ana Godabrelidze.
The event was also attended by Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Revaz Lominadze.
“With the aim of diversifying export markets for Georgian wine, the National Wine Agency continues to actively implement marketing activities in various countries around the world, including the Swiss Confederation. Holding such events in this market is intended to expand the export geography of Georgian wine and support the process of market diversification,” said Tamta Kvelaidze.
Raising awareness of Georgian wine and promoting it in international markets is one of the priority directions of the National Wine Agency’s activities. Since 2013, the agency has been actively carrying out marketing and advertising campaigns in the United States, European countries, and Asia, which contributes to the growth of Georgian wine’s export potential and the development of new markets.
