Georgia’s National Environmental Agency has issued information about the weather expected in the coming days.

According to the National Environmental Agency, intermittent rain is expected from the second half of August 25 through the end of August 26 in the regions of Samegrelo–Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, with heavy rainfall in some areas. Thunderstorms and strengthening winds are also possible.

“The expected heavy precipitation may lead to a significant rise in water levels in rivers, flooding on smaller rivers, and the emergence or intensification of landslide and mudflow processes in hilly and mountainous areas (hazard level — medium),” the National Environmental Agency of Georgia said in a statement.
