Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced plans to regulate traffic flows and increase safety at Heroes' Square, one of the city's problematic traffic junctions.
The current intersection, where several directions cross without regulation, causes traffic congestion during peak hours. To improve throughput, a traffic light object will be placed on the node, splitting existing flows. The planned changes are expected to positively impact the movement of both private cars and public transport. Simulation modeling has already been prepared to ensure the effectiveness of the selected solution.
