In Samtredia, in western Georgia, a train struck a 21-year-old young man near the Sanavardo settlement.
The young man died at the scene.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, an investigation into the incident is underway under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which concerns violations of the safety rules governing the movement or operation of railway, water, air, or cable transport.
