The Roads Department of Georgia has released information about the current situation on the roads.
Due to heavy snowfall, all types of vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the section of the secondary road of national importance Kutaisi (Tskaltubo turn) – Tskaltubo – Tsageri – Lentekhi – Lasdili, from km 125 to km 151 (Mele–Lasdili).
On the section from km 1 to km 124 (Tskaltubo turn – Mele), traffic is unrestricted.
Also, due to heavy snowfall, all types of vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the section of the secondary road of national importance Zugdidi – Jvari – Mestia – Lasdili, from km 185 to km 190 (Ushguli–Lasdili). On the section from km 138 to km 184 (Mestia–Ushguli), movement of vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers and M3-category passenger vehicles (with more than 8 seats excluding the driver’s seat and a total mass of more than 5 tons) is prohibited. For all other vehicle types, traffic is unrestricted.
On the section from km 1 to km 137 (Zugdidi–Mestia), traffic is unrestricted.
