According to data from January to June 2025, Georgia has recorded a new all-time high in tourist visits — their number reached a historic maximum of 2.3 million. The total number of international traveler visits amounted to 3.2 million. This information was released by Georgia’s National Tourism Administration.
The data shows that in the first half of 2025, Georgia recorded 3,153,741 international traveler visits — an increase of 4.4% compared to 2024. From January to June, there were 2,270,363 international tourist visits in the country, which is 6.9% more than in the same period last year.
A historic record was also set in the second quarter of 2025: from April to June, the number of international tourist visits reached 1,311,416 — a 10.7% increase compared to the second quarter of 2024. As for international visits overall, 1,838,913 were recorded in the second quarter — up 6.9% from the same period in 2024.
Additionally, according to the National Tourism Administration, the number of international travelers from the European Union and the United Kingdom saw a particularly notable increase during January–June 2025 — a new record was set for visits from these regions.
In the first half of 2025, a total of 201,986 international visits from the EU and the UK were made to Georgia, representing a 10.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Significant growth in international visits was recorded from the following countries:
Greece — +28.2% (+3,006 visits),
Italy — +26.1% (+2,271 visits),
Spain — +25.9% (+1,638 visits),
United Kingdom — +25.8% (+3,880 visits),
Poland — +21.9% (+6,043 visits),
Germany — +4.2% (+1,296 visits).
