“Georgia is a reliable partner in the region. As a country connecting Europe and Asia, Georgia is ready to cooperate with the European Union and all relevant partners to strengthen the security of the Black Sea region, including in line with the ambitious goals set out in the EU’s Black Sea strategy,” said Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, at the meeting of transport ministers from the EU, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Black Sea countries.
The event was held in Tashkent within the framework of the investment forum on the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and connectivity, organized with the support of the EU.
As Mariam Kvrivishvili noted, the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor is not only a logistics route but also an important foundation for the economic security of Europe and Asia.
“Georgia is turning its geographic location into an economic advantage, strengthening its sovereignty through increased connectivity, and positioning itself as an important and reliable bridge-country between Europe and Asia,” the minister said.
